Mistakes.

Like the words spoken in furious rage,
Like crossed out answers on a crumpled page,
Like the reel that has less movie, more takes,
We all make mistakes, we all make mistakes.

Like the kiss in a fit of hormonal madness
That shatters a couple’s blissful gladness,
Like the speed of a drunk’s car at night,
That shatters his life, and another life.
Like the forgotten toy left out in the rain
That never sees a playroom again,
Like the extra second that a businessman took
That cost him a vacation he took ages to book.

Like the wrists that have been slashed red,
Like the tear-stained eyes that have finally gone to bed,
Like truths that were believed but turn out fake,
We all make mistakes, we all make mistakes.
