We’re not afraid of falling in love. We’re not afraid of giving ourselves wholly to someone. We’re afraid of not being accepted. We’re afraid of not being loved back. How can someone be scared to love? It’s just something that happens on the way.
I don’t know why this thought struck me. But really, how can we be expected to ask for all love without having pain with it? Love and pain are connected. They co-exist. If there hasn’t been some pain, love hasn’t really happened yet. Not the real thing. Not yet.
